Instituții protostatale daco-române din epoca migrațiilor (III). Ducatul Gyla

The information provided by emperor Constantin the Purple-born (Porfirogenet)  about the politico-administrative realities north of the Danube are generaly known, but its essential dimension is often ignored. The data provided by De Administrando Imperio about the political institution from Daco-Roman areas matches the one from prior and subsequent eras, related to the same teritory, and converges toward a strong conclusion: there is institutional continuity at the Lower Danube, on the first Christian millenium.
