The vessel discovered at Timişoara-Cioreni it’s related to the worship of the sun or fire. Although preserved fragmentary, we can observe certain symbols which could represent the “tree of life” present on the rectangular Sarmatian vessels. The vessel would point a level of habitation belonging chronological to D1 phase (380-410/420 p.Chr according to European Central Chronological System), a period of time when in Carpathian zone, the tamga drawings no longer serve as tribal symbol, as in the eastern part of Europe, but more like a ritual function.
